Things I learned in June…

In June I learned that no matter how much you change that others opinion of you does not. They keep the idea of you of when they met you, or something significant happened, or your role in their life. It is an uphill battle to even try to change it and in the end you can’t so trying is futile. The best we can do is not let others opinions affect your thoughts about yourself. Charity starts at home and more specifically with the person in the mirror. Minimize the contact with the person or people that reek of negativity and value yourself more than the opinions of others. I strongly believe that we are born with the capacity to know the difference between right and wrong. It seems from a early age we are taught to ignore our own instincts and follow those that are better aligned with those of the society we live in.

Fuck that!

Be kind to yourself. You are human and make mistakes, it is part of life. Shit happens and then life moves on
